Major Bodies of Water
Cambodia is full of many rivers. But the most famous river is the Mekong River, which runs straight through Cambodia vertically and the divides the country in two. It's the 7th longest river in Asia, and the 12th longest in the world. In addition to the Mekong River, Cambodia is also home to the Tonle Sap, Cambodia's central lake. The Tonle Sap is the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia. During the rainy season, the Tonle Sap becomes several times it's own size, due to the excess rain and the water flowing from the Mekong River.
